Preliminary age analysis (using scales) was done on the two biggest fish with surprising results, as follows:

    Dave’s bass of 4.38kg was 10 – 12 yrs of age.
Andy’s bass of 3.54kg was 16 yrs old.

Obviously otoliths (ear bones) are more accurate but would necessitate the killing of the fish.

Glad to finally see that the skeptics and disruptors of deserved glory have come to their senses. When you cannot back up accusations with facts and then resort to dirty tactics, then I beg to differ as to who needs to grow up. I must say that the hijacking of this post made for some amusing reading and even Strike King got some free advertising in. I wish to remind certain individuals that the sport is bigger than the individual and the sport won. Till next time, tight lines.

Quote by Vortex “I also heard ppl saying that. And y is the tail is so damaged. And that Saterday it was overcast and he caught the fish early in the morning so y is it so light in the back ground in that photo!”

Are you backing off boet because the negativity was backed up by you right in the beginning. What you interperet as being new negative comments is actually you being put in your place. See you at the next Classic, I’ll check your livewell if you so wish.
