Third take lucky

Submitted by tdomf_7d3a6 on February 16, 2010 – 23:047 Comments

After a frustrating morning where everything was bad luck, turned into a good day. Managed a nice Kob after having line snap and a hook break! thats a 1st for me. Fished with live bait and got alot of takes. Mainly little Kob, but managed two decent ones. Anyone got advice for me on how to rig a trace for trolling live mullet?

FISH: Kob

WEIGHT/LENGTH: Estimated 8.5kg

CAUGHT BY: Andrew Harris

CAUGHT AT: TBA 14 February 2010

BAIT/LURE: Live Mullet

mdumbi sounds like a plan hey, was thinking of going to look for some of those big blacks off kwelera again, let me know about the comp this weekend, if u launching or not? got blacks off kwelera the other day only up to 15kg though, not those monsters we got last time. might go “wave worming” in the morning.

get your self some 5/0 or 6/0 circle hooks, pu the hook threw the top lip and throw it out the back you can use a light sinker if you want to get the bait down a little
